  I have travelled the world and this is the worst place I have ever stayed. Soft drink advertised for $4.00 but they charge $6.00 and they say take no notice of the sign.Must be for locals. Caged cockatoos squawking during the night. They count the ice blocks when you order a drink. They put on a lunch which we did not order and as my wife was allergic to the dish she did not consume it but we still had to pay for it. Dogs roam freely in the eating area and one time the cook picked up their cat to remove it and then got the dishes for dessert without washing his hands. The sleeping quarters appear to be ex mining camp transportables with all the creepy crawlies and spider webs. When you ask to get them clean they responded they will get around to it. Chillagoe has some nice attractions as well as other accommodation which we did not know at the time. Give them a miss and choose another place to stay.
